PUBLIC RELATIONS BROCHURE - INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Marketing of our school meal program is something we should all do, but often it does not make it to the top of the priority list.

As co-chairs of the NHHSC food service sub-committee, Jeanne Pierce and Pat Laska have the following in their plan of action: Develop a public awareness mechanism which would make it easy for schools to market their nutrition and food service messages.

As a means to that end, the brochure template is a guide, which may be customized by each school or district. It may be sent out in the summer, available at open houses, or given to new students as they enter your district. Feel free to download it, save it, and alter it to meet your needs.

The members of the New Hampshire Healthy Schools Coalition are nutrition advocates, and they suggested putting the template on the SNA of NH web site. The SNA-NH board approved the idea at our November 2007 board meeting.

Your brochure should be reviewed and approved by your supervisor before it is released.
