ABOUT SNA OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

The School Nutrition Association of New Hampshire was known as the New Hampshire School Food Service Association until Spring 2005. It was established in 1953 as a state affiliate to the American School Food Service Association, now the School Nutrition Association.

SNA of NH and it's parent organization are dedicated to the goal of protecting and enhancing children's health and well-being through school meals and sound nutrition education to public and non-profit private schools.

 

MISSION STATEMENT

To establish a positive perception of school food service and nutrition programs. To advocate national policy to expand and enhance child nutrition programs. To provide professional development resources to increase nutrition, business, culinary and food safety skills. To serve as the primary source for state-of-the-art information for the school food service marketplace.

VISION

Healthful school meals and nutrition education are available to all children as an integral part of education

PURPOSE

The purpose of SNA is to advance the availabllity and quality of school food service and nutrition programs as an integral part of education

GOALS

Assist food serrivce professionals in developing a total quality management program. Assist in operating fiscally responsible programs that provide sound nutrition and promote nutrition education. Educate and act as a communication tool to assist in establishing proper operating procedures.
