Linda Dodds called the meeting to order at 3:05pm

 

Roll Call; Linda Hopey, Linda Dodds, Harlene Batchelder, Susan Cowmeadow, Carol Exford, David Dziki, Pat Laska, Susan Gerges, Donna Roy, Phil Dallon, Barbara Schultz.

Approval of the agenda – approved

Old Business

              Foundation donation ideas; still looking for ideas, the association is not financially able to send money, and idea to pass the hat at the conference was accepted.

 

New Business

              Web site advertising;  Tami Martin wants to be on our web site.  The 10/5/07 show was on the site.  Elaine is concerned that it is a conflict of interest, but we are not forced to buy Tami’s product and we are not seeing it as a conflict.

Legislative Breakfast on May 9th at Concord Tech – we will be having a grab and go breakfast.  Elaine wants to see the invitations that we are sending out, Pat will e-mail everyone on the board the invite.  It was asked if we need to bring food, no, Hood has the milk, commodities has the fruit, Tami has the yogurt, bagel & juice.

 

              Silent auction at ANC; the theme is rock & roll, Linda Dodds has 3 recipe book with 50’s music she’ll donate for the auction.

 

Region 2 – May 22, Tuesday, in Hampton

Region 1 – Whitefield on Rt 3.

 

Membership – 265 members and we are moving forward.  Pat send out letters and applications to 117 non members listed in the directory.

 

PPL- Dave gave us a brief outline of things going on at the state level.

Fundraising – Linda has put an order in for tomato knifes, we do have a lot of items.

There was talk of bring some things to the Regional meeting, but instead we are bring candy bars.

 

Business & Industry – The Vendor show is Tuesday August 12, 2008.  Susan asked if we should go up in price for vendors, we decided on $700.

Susan will go over the changes in the form at the next meeting. 

Raffle prizes from the vendors – You must be present in order to win, the prizes will be drawn at 1:30pm

 

Convention Chair – There will be a lot of workshops for Food Service workers, on May 10, 2008

We discussed if we should go north for the fall conference – Harlene will check into the Common Man in Plymouth and the Margate.
